Moore promoted to VP post
Feb 16, 2026猫咪社区 is pleased to announce the promotion of Gloria Moore to vice president for Administrative Services. She replaces Steve Woodruff, who retired at the end of January after 30 years.

Since joining RCC in 2016 as controller, Moore has been a steady, trusted presence in the Business Office and a key partner across the college.
鈥淕loria brings a deep understanding of higher education finance, strong leadership skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting the mission of RCC and the needs of our community,鈥 said RCC President Dr. Sylvia Cox.
Moore鈥檚 experience is extensive. She has led all aspects of the Business Office including accounting, payroll, budget management, grants, capital projects, financial aid reconciliation, and internal controls. She prepares and submits our financial statements, the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, and audit materials to the State Controller and State Auditor each year, while also assisting with accreditation and continuous process improvement.
鈥淛ust as importantly, she approaches this work with care, integrity, and a collaborative spirit that colleagues value and respect,鈥 Dr. Cox said.
Before coming to RCC, Moore held financial leadership roles at Guilford Technical Community College and gained experience in nonprofit accounting, auditing, and private sector finance. She holds a master鈥檚 degree in accounting from UNC Greensboro and a bachelor鈥檚 degree in accounting from NC State, where she graduated summa cum laude. 鈥淕loria is deeply committed to RCC. She understands our culture, our people, and our priorities, and she brings a calm, thoughtful approach to complex challenges,鈥 said Dr. Cox. 鈥淚 am confident that she will continue to serve the college with excellence as she steps into this broader leadership role.鈥
